Maliqe Enterprise LLC ("Maliqe," "we," "us," or "our") operates maliqe.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the Site, place an order, or hear from us; how we use and share it; and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and order details when you place an order, create an account, sign up for our emails or text messages, join a product waitlist, contact us, or leave a review.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Shopify and by the payment method you choose at checkout (for example Shop Pay, PayPal, Amazon Pay, or Google Pay). We do not see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Site we and our partners collect information about your device and visit: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location derived from your IP address, the pages and products you view, items you add to your bag, how you arrived at the Site, and similar browsing information. We collect this with cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (section 5).
2. How we use your information
- To run the Site, process and deliver your orders, and handle returns and customer service
- To keep your shopping bag and your country and currency choice between visits
- To send you emails and text messages you have signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To understand how the Site is used and to improve it
- To show you relevant advertising on other websites and apps, and to measure how our advertising performs (only as described in sections 5 and 6)
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security problems
- To comply with legal obligations
3. How we share your information
We share personal information only as follows:
- Our store and checkout platform. The Site's catalogue, bag, checkout, and customer accounts run on Shopify. Checkout takes place on Shopify-hosted pages. Shopify processes your information under its own privacy policy (shopify.com/legal/privacy). If you use Shop Pay, the Shop app's own privacy policy also applies.
- Payment providers such as Shop Pay, PayPal, Amazon Pay, and Google Pay, to process your payment.
- Service providers that help us operate the business, including website hosting and security (such as Cloudflare), email and text-message marketing (Klaviyo), product reviews (Judge.me) and review display (Trustpilot), order fulfilment and shipping carriers, and returns handling.
- Analytics and advertising partners — Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, and Klaviyo. Through cookies and pixels on the Site and at checkout, these partners receive information such as the pages and products you view, items you add to your bag, checkout activity, and purchases. To measure ads and match activity to their users, these partners may receive your email address in hashed (encoded) form, never in plain text. They use this information to measure and improve our advertising and to show you our ads. Their use of this information is governed by their own privacy policies. Section 6 explains how to turn this off.
- For legal reasons — in response to lawful requests by public authorities, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud or other illegal activity.
- In a business transfer — if Maliqe is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your consent for any other purpose.
4. Data security and retention
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, but no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations, and then delete or anonymise it.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use three kinds:
- Essential — needed for the Site to work: keeping your shopping bag, remembering your country and currency, remembering your cookie choice, and security. These are always on.
- Analytics — to understand how visitors use the Site (Google Analytics and Shopify analytics).
- Advertising — pixels from Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, and Klaviyo that record activity such as product views, bag additions, and purchases, to measure our advertising and show you relevant ads.
When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Decline analytics and advertising cookies. To change your choice later, clear the cookies and site data for maliqe.com in your browser settings — the banner will appear again on your next visit — or email us at support@maliqe.com. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the Site (such as your bag) may then stop working.
6. Your choices
- Visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom: analytics and advertising cookies stay off unless you choose Accept.
- Visitors elsewhere: analytics and advertising cookies are on by default. Choose Decline in the banner to turn them off (section 5 explains how to change your choice later). Your choice also applies at our Shopify checkout.
- Marketing emails and texts: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or reply STOP to any text message.
- Advertising controls: you can also manage ad personalisation in your Google, Meta, and TikTok account settings.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email support@maliqe.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
US state privacy rights. Under some US state laws (for example in California), sharing information with advertising partners for targeted advertising may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information. You can opt out by choosing Decline in our cookie banner (section 5 explains how to change your choice later) or by emailing support@maliqe.com. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
8. International transfers
We and our service providers may process your information in the United States and in other countries whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
9. Children's privacy
The Site is not intended for children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent to material changes.
